Some Super Projects

Amy just finished a project that the boys and I are pretty excited about so we had to share it with you all.  She sewed two reversible fleece comforters for the boys’ beds.  On one side is their favorite superhero (Batman and Hulk).  The reverse side is a matching superhero Avengers pattern (yes, I’m fully aware that Batman and the Avengers are from DC and Marvel, but the boys aren’t so we’re going to roll with it.).  She finished the project with a nice yellow satin binding.  They came out great and the boys love them.

Their room now carries an obvious theme.  I’m not sure were they get this love for the comic characters from but what can you do.DSC09928DSC09907DSC09909DSC09929DSC09932DSC09931

The other project came from the boys’ Christmas present from Aunt Sarah, a Captain America costume. I knew it was a matter of time before a shield would need to be made. It was fun working with the boys on this one. We cut a circle from a piece of half-inch plywood and primed and painted it. $.75 cents later the handles were bent and screwed on and BAM the indestructible star shield was completed.
